Coach Cooper Schoolcraft joins Collin College as the district’s first-ever golf coach. Schoolcraft was introduced to the game of golf at age 2 when his father realized he was old enough to hold a club. He grew up watching his father and grandfather play, became “obsessed” with the sport, and played throughout his youth. Schoolcraft got his start in coaching at Midland Christian School (MCS) in 2010, where he was a track coach. He moved on to coaching football in 2011 and then golf in 2014. He coached golf at MCS for four years. He then moved on to Fort Worth Christian School, where he was an assistant golf coach for two years. He worked as a certified golf coach for a year at GOLFTEC, a training company with sports science at its core, and then joined Houston Northland Christian School in 2022 as the head golf coach and head of strength and conditioning before coming to Collin College. During his tenure as a golf coach, Coach Schoolcraft has helped 14 players launch successful collegiate playing careers at both the NJCAA and NCAA levels.
