Collin College Men's Basketball split a pair of games to close out January.

The Cougars lost 95-66 to McLennan Community College on the road. McLennan, which leads the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (NTJCAC), jumped out to a big lead in the first half and did not let up. Collin turned in a stronger second half but was not able to make up the difference.

Vinny Sigona turned in a 22-point performance to lead Collin in scoring, followed by Geancarlo Peguero with 10 points. Garrett Falls and David Emelife each had 9 points to round out the top scorers. Fabian Pommells put up two blocked shots and two steals in the game.

Collin had a stronger second half in its 70-65 win over Southwestern Christian College (SwCC), coming back from a 10-point first-half deficit to grab the win.

Falls led the team with a 22-point scoring performance against the Rams. Vladislav Karasev followed with 16 points, including four three-pointers, and Sigona added 12 points.

SwCC sent Falls to the line 16 times, and he sank 14 shots. He also recorded one block and one steal. Six Cougars notched steals in the game.
